Searching for an appellate attorney?
An appellate attorney specializes in handling cases on appeal, after a rendered verdict or a decision is reached at the trial court level.
Cases are argued in an appellate court to determine whether the prior verdict was just.
Unlike a trial lawyer, the focus is more on court procedure and motions aimed at convincing an appellate judge that an error was made at the trial court level.
They typically don’t retell the facts of a case but rather point out mistakes of judicial procedure.
As a result, appellate attorneys often have very specialized skill sets and an ability to question how a case was tried, how evidence was admitted or not, or how the original trial was flawed or violated procedure.
Appellate law attorneys listed here are recognized by their professional achievements and by their peers.
